Hollis "Chip" Felkel, CEO & Senior Strategist

Chip Felkel is a veteran political strategist and business advisor with over two decades of work in and around the “arena” of public policy.  Today, Felkel’s insight is frequently sought by Fortune 500’s, privately held companies, professional services firms, associations and grass roots advocacy groups who value a frank perspective that is combined with intuitiveness and tenacity.   As an observer and speaker Felkel has developed a growing following among those who value his reality-based views and ability to bring clarity and focus to and on national issues.  Today, Felkel is leading the development of Employee Advocacy within the public policy programs of Corporate America.  Felkel's extensive political resume includes  various roles with Campbell for Governor, the Republican National Committee, Bush-Quayle 1988, DeMint 2002, and Bush-Cheney 2000 and 2004. He has also served as an advisor to former speaker now U.S. Ambassador David H. Wilkins (Canada).  

Named as a "star to watch" by the Hotline a publication of the National Journal, Chip Felkel serves as an instructor for the Thurmond Institute's Self Civic Fellows program (Clemson University) and for Leadership Greenville. His views have appeared in state and regional publications (The State-Columbia, The Greenville News, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Charleston Post Courier and Charlotte Observer) and nationally in the NY Times and other publications.  Felkel's column, "View from the Front Porch" has frequently appeared in Community Journals (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson), and he authors a subscriber based e-newsletter The Political Entrepreneur.  Chip Felkel is a member of the Small Business Administration's National Advisory Council, serves as a board member for the History Museum of UpCountry South Carolina and the Golden Strip YMCA.  Felkel is a University of South Carolina graduate, where he also serves on the Partnership Board for the Department of Political Science.  He lives with his wife Shonna, and their two children, Ethan and Addison, in Simpsonville, SC.

Brian Aufmuth - Director of Grass Roots Advocacy/Research

Aufmuth manages TFG’s extensive database and is responsible for all research, strategic communications, issue analysis and legislative programs. Prior to his current role, Aufmuth served as Assistant Campaign Manager for the DeMint for Senate Campaign and as Field Representative for then Congressman DeMint's successful reelection campaign in 2002.  Aufmuth graduated from Clemson University where he finished Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science.  Brian and his wife Bridgette currently live in Greenwood, SC.

George Hammond - Chief Financial Officer

Hammond has over 40 years of experience as an executive, financial manager, and strategic planner in both government and the private sectors.  Following a full career in the Air Force, he was the Executive VP of a computer graphics and printing company, the Executive VP of an early development Internet company and President of his own consulting firm.  Mr. Hammond has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Doctorate of Public Administration (ABD) from the University of Alabama.
